poem of thought

Variants of You

as you look from face to face, what do you see?

do you see face face after face so familiar to thee?

do you see their arms; their legs; their nose and toes?

can you see their eyes and ears and their hair that grows?

do you hear their cries; their laughter; their strangest of sounds?

do you see in the mirror the way that it goes?
